President

Thomas Wong

Thomas Wong is an aerospace engineering major at San Jose State University. He currently has an L1 Certification. As president of Rocket Club he has designed a 3D printable rocket kit that balances performance and cost. My love for aerospace engineering began with a childhood fascination of science-fiction.

Vice President

Rae Chauvaux

My name is Rae Chauvaux (they/them) and I am an aerospace engineering student. I have my L1 and L2 Tripoli certifications and am pursuing my L3. I have done work on multiple rocketry projects, including designing a payload to launch on an amateur rocket to over 100,000 ft, the High Altitude Rocketry Project for Rocket Club, and SJSU's Spaceport America Cup 2024 rocket.

Aashna Gajaria

Hello! I’m Aashna Gajaria, a 4th-year aerospace engineering major, and I’m thrilled to serve as Rocket Club’s Treasurer for the 2024-2025 school year. My passion for space exploration drives my excitement for our upcoming projects and discoveries. Beyond my love for all things aerospace, I enjoy playing and watching basketball and soccer, especially cheering for the Golden State Warriors! In my free time, I also love hiking, painting, and photography. Looking forward to an amazing year with Rocket Club!

Hello everyone! My name is Dev Dhruv. I am a graduate student at San Jose State University working on a master's degree in Aerospace Engineering with a concentration in spacecraft. I aspire to work on rocket launches that send cargo and humans to space, improving the quality of life on Earth.  I am passionate about rocketry and look forward to being an officer at Rocket Club.


Safety

Yahya Ismail

I am an aerospace engineering student and the safety officer of the Rocket Club. I have over a decade of industrial technology experience, focusing on the spatial arts of wood, metal, composites, plastics, and ceramics. As a tool and machinery enthusiast of many years, I am an expert in the safe and respectful use of tools and materials. If you need to fabricate something and need advice, help, or guidance please bring me your query!

Tanisha Grover

Aerospace Engineering major at SJSU | Pilot-in-Training at Trades Wind Aviation | Public Relations Officer for the Rocket Club at SJSU

I'm passionate about exploring new heights in aerospace and rocketry, currently advancing my skills both in the cockpit and in the lab. As the PR Officer for the Rocket Club, I’m dedicated to bringing people together who share a love for innovation and pushing boundaries—whether that’s through gaining rocketry certifications or connecting at launch sites. With an L1 Rocketry Certification under my belt, I’m excited to continue this journey and build on my technical expertise and leadership skills.

Hi everyone, I'm Jack a senior in aerospace engineering. I love all things space and engineering related but especially astrophysics and propulsion (I can talk about them forever). In my free time I enjoy gaming, working out, and playing guitar. Looking forward to seeing everyone at launches and the events I organize!!
